Careers at IRD

Welcome to IRD Recruitment
A message from Dr. Arthur B. Keys,, President and CEO of IRD

On March 9, 1998, my wife, Jasna, and I began International Relief and Development in the basement of our house. By August of that year had a program distributing pharmaceuticals and medical commodities in the Georgia, a program we still have today.

Today, I look back on IRD and see how much has changed. Now IRD has thousands of employees, is in more than 30 countries, and has implemented programs delivering almost one billion dollars in aid to hundreds of millions of beneficiaries. But a few things are still the same: we're still an organization committed to the philosophy of community-based development; we still see possibilities that others may fail to see; we still think of the people we serve before we think of convenience.

And perhaps most importantly, we still think the energy, enthusiasm and commitment of our staff is the heart of IRD. We believe in our local staff and promote the staff members that deliver to major positions of responsibility. Our first employee in Georgia is now Deputy Director of Health in Washington, D.C.

When Jasna and I set out on the journey into the unknown, we imagined an organization like IRD today. We were confident that we could deliver the resources needed most to the world's most vulnerable people. If you believe in doing the same, please consider applying today. As IRD continues to grow, you will give us the strength to do more together than any of us could do on our own.

Dr. Arthur B. Keys, Jr.
President and CEO, IRD
