IRD Adds Harold D. Cranston to Board
of Directors
Washington, DC —
December 3, 2007 — IRD announced today that Harold
D. Cranston, a San Francisco-based businessman and entrepreneur,
will join the organization's Board of Directors.
“The Board of Directors - and the entire
organization - is so pleased to have Harold join us,” said
IRD President and CEO Dr. Arthur B. Keys, Jr. “Given IRD's
phenomenal growth in the past few years, his wealth of experience
and business operations knowledge will be invaluable.”
Mr. Cranston is currently owner and president
of Cranston Investments, LLC, a real estate management, development
and private equity investment firm. Prior to founding the firm,
Mr. Cranston served as Chief Operating Officer and Company Director
for ServiceMaster, formerly LandCare USA, and as owner and president
of Four Seasons Landscape and Maintenance, Inc.
Mr. Cranston also serves on the St. Ignatius Preparatory
Board of Regents, as well as the boards of the Yosemite Fund, Episcopal
Charities, and St. Luke's Hospital in San Francisco. He received
both his associate's and master's in business administration from
Stanford University.
Founded in 1998 by Dr. Arthur B. Keys, Jr., IRD
is a charitable, non-profit, non-governmental organization whose
mission is to reduce the suffering of the world’s most vulnerable
groups and provide tools and resources needed to increase their
self-sufficiency.
